The Communist Party of the 1920s and 1930s made great efforts to control peasants, workers and the army.  However within all of these groups were women.  Separate policies were aimed at women and the family.  As well as being under. for example, the Five Year Plans, women were effected by similar decisions such as one to push women to have more children and raise them.  The following set of notes summarises how the policies changed from Lenin to Stalin and what exactly Stalin did to women and families in the 1930s.
